An Emeril and Martha Stewart for Mongolia

BAM! I'm the new Emeril in town. I'm really excited because next week will the be the first month of American cooking classes for my teachers. I put a sign-up sheet in the teachers room and the list is filled up! I have to figure out just how many zillions of pancakes I'll need now. The first lesson is pancakes. In the past I have bribed students to help me saw wood by offering pancakes and it has worked like a charm. Now many teachers will be able to use pancake currency also. I'm excited!

I have so many projects and classes on the board now. It's good to feel productive. In two weeks, the other two volunteers in my town and I will start adult community classes. We are constantly asked to tutor people so it is great that we now have the organization World Vision helping us organize something to fill this need. Next week I will also have a resource workshop for my teachers. It is difficult for teachers to use learning resources in class many times because they alternate classrooms and aren't really given money to make them. With a little money from the director and some materials I brought from America we will be able to make some. The goal is for teachers to share them because as of now any resources teachers have, they keep to themselves because they have invested their own time and money into them. Making them together, without any cost on their part will hopefully ensure that resources will be used more often in all of their classes. No resources in locked cabinets and personal folders anymore! Hopefully! Anyway, I feel like I could go on and on at this point. I'm just really excited about this year and all that we can accomplish.
